Gotta keep those lids secured. I had several fishes over the years die because of just that reason. Something spooks them and they literally jump right out of the water to avoid it (whatever it was that scared them) and if they happen to be next to an opening (or something easy to open, like an unsecured lid), then end of story. This happens more so with larger fishes as they obviously jump higher and with more force. But the story of the fish surviving out of water for 21 hours is rather hard to believe. :rolleyes2:
looking at that big belly of his i would think thats where it stores all that water that helped him survive :]
i would never pick up a fish, who is flapping on the ground.........it feels so , ugh* glad he's alive...........he looks big/fat, bigger/fatter than mine
i wish my gold fish did that but not.. out of water for couple min and dead i was like.. stupid fish lolz
i dont think any fish is able to do that. I bet it cheated by jumping back in the tank and jumping out when she got home.
