Gallen wrote on his blog on Monday that he felt "Extremely honoured!" after being given the opportunity to play a PLA army officer, as he is an actor from Hong Kong. In the 30-episode TV sitcom Gallen plays the lead role of Gao Da, a division commander in the modern Chinese army. The star-studded cast also includes actress Flora Chan Wai Shan and Annie Yineng Jing. The play will be broadcast in many of China's eastern provinces tonight, February 2.
