Original Star Trek actor George Takei is set to marry his longtime partner, Brad Altman, on Sunday evening in downtown Los Angeles. The ceremony will take place at the Japanese American National Museum and approximately 200 friends and family will attend, including Mr. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy. Fellow Trekkies Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols will serve as best man and matron of honor, respectively. The ceremony will reportedly feature Scottish bagpipes and be officiated by a Mexican-American Buddhist minister. The soon-to-be husbands also ordered Native American turquoise and silver rings, and are rumored to be spending their honeymoon in Argentina and Peru. Takei, 71, and Altman, 54, have been together for 21 years and were among the first to obtain a same-sex marriage license in West Hollywood in June.
