Does your boyfriend always open the door for you when you get in the car? i just think that it's really nice if a guy does this for his girlfriend. it shows how much they care and respects you. it's really sweet...everytime my boyfriend does that, i fall in love with him again. -^_^
yea maybe if her arms are both broke... -lol. ya know I thought this thread was gonna be about girls gettin in strangers cars or somethin.. I'm pretty sure some girls are gonna say, oh I don't need a man to open the door for me, I can open my own damn door. I think openin the door, or pullin out a chair, or ordering food for a girl is highly unneccessary...but this is a thread for the ladies, so i wanna what they say to this interesting question.
Chivalry should be part of every good man. Guys have never opened doors and pulled out chairs because it's "necessary". It's because it makes the lady feel like a lady. Should a guy do it on every occasion? No way, but should do it once in a while to remind her that you do still see her as a lady and treat her as one (best when she's least expecting it). I disagree with you Echo, I think you'll be surprised as how many ladies will appreciate that kind of chivalry and courtesy.
well i had a car door slamed into me by my gf does that count ??? hahaha as i wlked pass her car she opened the door into me .... damn did it hurt -lol
*laff* Every guy that my friends and I have dated have opened doors/pulled out chairs for us...but does that mean they're good guys? No...it's so superficial. If a guy I'm dating for the first time opens the door for me, then great, but if not, I wouldn't hold it against him.
i agree! i think a lot of girls, not only myself like guys who act gentlemanly. of course you don't have to open the door ALL the time, but you should do it every once in a while.
Yes, opening the doors doesn't make the man a good guy. However, a good guy should know when to open the doors for the lady. There's a difference If I was date you tho shy, I will never ever open the doors for you.
-angry Are you implying that I'm not a lady? *laff* That's right...no need to waste your time doing a courteous deed for someone who doesn't appreciate it, right? *wink*
meh..u women don't know wat u want..some like the good guy..n some like tne bad ass..guess u never know wat he'll be like until that first date...if ur lucky..u'll find a guy that does exactly wat u want....
install door poppers then you don't have to ever open the door for the girl... lol I do it once in a while for my gf... no more pulling out chairs tho cause had a bad experience one time...
It is not rude to not open door for ladies as it defeats the purpose of doing it. We want to show that we CAN be a gentlemen when we feel like it. If you do it everytime, then you're nothing more than nice guy that every girl will USE and take advantage (and not in a good way).
I wouldn't need it, but it's just one of those tiny things that makes everything sweeter. examples: car door, doors, holding my backpack. and no...that does not make him my biatch....
Being nice is not a bad thing; you just have to know where to draw the line between being nice and being a pushover. A lot of people will try to take advantage of you if you're nice, but if you have limits, then you won't get taken advantage of.
I think I will appreciate it a lot cause nowadays thoses things are becoming rare and rarer.. The thing I don't understand is people who don't keep the door open for the ones who come behind them. This is just common courtesy, being a woman or a man.
I think you only open car doors for girls in special occassions. Like first and second date and at some special events. However, when you became close to her like in a relationship, just open the car door for her once in a while. I also think opening car doors is different from opening other doors. I always open doors for girls or letting them in the room first.
