Friday February 22, 2008 Hong Kong Gigi Lai (黎姿) and Raymond Lam (林峯) were among the guests at a promotional event for a designer baggage company today. As it was the New Year Lantern festival and Chinese Valentine's Day, Gigi was asked if she had received any presents and she revealed that she received a collectible item. Reporters picked up on the hint and quizzed her further about whether or not she was dating, she did not want to talk about it at first, but eventually revealed that she is dating a businessman from outside the entertainment industry and referred to him as Mr G. Asked about the news of her good friend Carmen Choi (蔡加敏)'s pregnancy, she said that she has not prepared a gift yet and did not know whether she would become a godparent. She said that she will let nature take its course and check her affinity with the child. Asked if she envied her friend's fortune, she said that she will just go with the flow as far as her own romance is concerned. Asked if she thinks she will be married within the next two years, she said quickly: "Yes." She then corrected herself by saying that she hoped so. Asked if Mr G wanted this too, she just smiled and said: "I don't know." Raymond took on some stage appearance jobs over the Chinese New Year and made some extra money, so he has spent this on buying a new car and also hiring a driver. He explained that this is for safety reasons so that he does not have to drive after working all night.
