Gigi Lai (黎姿) and Bowie Lam (林保怡) make their recommendations in a second-hand book sale, 29 July 2008, Hong Kong. Gigi chose a Christian book Streams In The Desert <荒漠甘泉>, saying that it gave her faith during difficult times. Gigi Lai (黎姿) and Bowie Lam (林保怡) took part in a charity second-hand book sale today and after taking a look through the items on offer, Gigi recommended a book called Streams In The Desert <荒漠甘泉>. Gigi explained that after her brother was seriously injured in a road accident, a Christian friend had recommended this book to her and after reading it, she felt extremely comforted and had a very strange feeling. Gigi revealed that she has also told her brother the story. Asked how her brother's recovery is progressing, Gigi said that he does not need any more surger and can feed himself now. She is confident that he will soon be able to walk by himself again. Bowie spoke about an earlier journey to Sichuan, where he visited some of the victims of the earthquake in May. He said that the journey left him feeling very content at what he possesses because he felt very fortunate compared to the victims who had lost everything. Bowie will be heading to Shanghai soon to take part in one of Stanley Kwan (關錦鵬)'s fundraising short films, where he will be playing the part of a doctor.
