Gillian Chung’s (鍾欣桐) love life took a turn for the worst when her scandalous involvement with Edison Chen (陳冠希) broke out in 2008. Nonetheless, Gillian’s comeback with Twins in 2010 was mildly successful, and now the singer-actress is back on the ball. Not only is her career getting back on the right track, it turns out that Gillian has also found the new love of her life. Recently, the Hong Kong paparazzi caught Gillian going out on a movie date with a mysterious male friend at Cyberport. The tall and handsome young man is in fact from Korea, and is allegedly close with the Big Bang members, especially G-Dragon. The young man, known as “Mr. K,” also works in the film industry. Mr. K may not be very wealthy, but it was his affection and care for Gillian that had won her heart. When Gillian noticed the paparazzi outside the theater, she immediately notified Mr. K of the scenario, and the couple left the theater separately. Gillian’s manager, Mani Fok (霍汶希), confirmed the report through a text message, and stated, “Ah Gill is a big girl now. Dating is nothing out of the ordinary. That man is her boyfriend, but they are not living in together. I’ve only met him once. He is Korean, and a wonderful young man.” In fact, this “exposure” should not be too surprising. Earlier in August, Gillian had posted an ambiguous message on her Weibo, which read, “As long as he/she is in your heart, I’m afraid that even drinking water will turn out to be sweet.” Last October, Gillian revealed that she went on a business trip to Korea, but she did not specify what the trip was for, nor did she document her trip with pictures. Many of Gillian’s friends and labelmates in the industry gave Gillian her blessings. Junior labelmate William Chan (陳偉霆) expressed, “If Ah Gill can find someone who can truly love her, I will bless him.” Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡), who will be married next year, “I am so happy for her! Next time, I will ask her if her Korean has improved!” Gillian’s ex-rumored boyfriend, Juno Mak (麥浚龍), said, “I am very busy with the post-production of my film right now.
