Chung's eyes turned red with tears on the press conference when reporters asked incisive questions on the sex photos scandal. She declined to respond to any of those questions and her manager Mani Fok rescued her out of the predicament. Her sex photos with Chen are exposed on tabloids early last year. Other female artistes involved in the same scandal include Cecilia Cheung and Bobo Chan. For the promotional event in Beijing, Chung prepared a "Letter of Love" for the Chinese youth, sharing her experiences and motivating them. In the letter, Chung raised several examples of youth's confusions and perplexity, encouraging them to be optimistic and strong. Chung said this spring has a special meaning for her; it represents that the unhappy moments are over and everything is a brand new start. "Everyone has their past. But everyone is moving towards a better future. If I chose to be strong in the past year, I will also choose to be optimistic from today onwards. I hope that everyone will be like me, be optimistic, be strong!" Besides meeting Chen's father at the Beijing airport, Chung's China visit also coincided with Cheung's husband, Nicholas Tse's Beijing fan club gathering. "I know that he'll be here, but I'll be returning to Hong Kong today," she said on Sunday. She also claimed to have visited Tse's son Lucas at their place, though she does not have much to chat about with Cecilia Cheung, they cheered each other on.
