Friday March 9, 2007 Hong Kong Gillian Chung Undergoes Laser Surgery Gillian Chung of Twins underwent laser eye correction surgery this week and to prevent her sensitive eyes, she has been wearing sunglasses for the past few days. Yesterday, at a function, Gillian expressed that despite her eyes were only 200°, she had laser eye correction surgery because her contact lenses kept falling off and were easily lost. “It is quite dangerous to have contacts falling off without knowing. I had wanted to have surgery for quite a while.” The singer then revealed that she had purposely watched television up close when she was younger because she had admired people who wore glasses. Charlene Choi then disclosed that she is short and long sighted, causing her to not be able to spot friends on the street occasionally, she commented, “Sometimes I could not see them, so I did not say hello. AHAH.. it's so funny that Gillian said she purposely watched TV closely cuz she WANTED to wear glasses.. and now it's the opposite.. Hope her laser surgery went well and she recovers soon.
