Queen Jolin Tsai has joined Warner and will release her debut album <Flower Butterfly>. Again challenging difficult moves, this time she had to hang upside down on a wire, so to let her shadow portray a butterfly spreading out its wings. After an agonizing hour, Jolin had bruises all over her waist and she cried: “Hanging upside down is very sore, and having to smile at the same time is very hard la!” Afterwards, staff members told her to do the photoshoot before rubbing on medicine and Jolin could not help but huff: “No conscience!”
This will be her 10th year in the industry, and her new album is set to release at the end of March. However, her old company has fought to release a special album, and she is facing the crisis of self-fighting-self. Jolin has special feelings towards the name of this album, she revealed: “In private, my colleagues will call me ‘Cai Shi Fei’ but I’ve trained myself to be strong, I don’t care too much about outside gossip, and I hope all girls will learn to be strong and be themselves, do not fear other people’s opinions.”
The production costs of <Flower Butterfly> has reached a new high – the 16 promotional outfits cost $2.5million and the 6 most beautiful outfits were specially ordered from America. After Jolin established her own <Seventy Two Changes> brand, she personally collaborated with a Taiwanese stylist and designed a pink vest, hoping to start a new spring/summer trend. Putting on blue contact lenses, Jolin’s eyes sparkle even more.
