Harlem Yu denies mum is the reason for divorce Harlem Yu spoke to the media about his divorce for the first time outside the recording of "One Million Singers" in Taipei on Tuesday. With regards to reports that claimed that his mother was reason behind their marriage failure, the filial son stood up and expressed his unhappiness on the media's doubts of his mother and will be doing everything he can to protect her. "The matter is over for now. This ending has nothing to do with my mother. She is a good mother and a good mother-in-law," he said. Yu advised the media not to base their reports on hearsay and also call on his family and friends to stop fabricating news or rumors. He said, "I have no ideas who are those friends and family members quoted in the reports!" His ex-wife Annie Yi was reported to have sought for a China property worth S$3.5million from Yu right after they divorced but she has denied the news through her lawyer. With respect to this matter, Yu also said firmly, "No (Annie did not do that)." On the same set as Yu at the studio recording, Taiwanese comedian NoNo described Yu as a "great man". "Harlem makes a clear distinction between public and private interests; this is why he is a great man!"
