uni sucks! i mean really!!!!!! i feel stupid -noclue and completely out of depth! like i dont belong there perhaps im just anti social... but sometimes i just feel like i dont fit in... because everyone just seems to get on fine... but i struggle could be because i procrastinate so much... that i end up using all the time i have studying studying studying anyone agree?
Is it like your first year or somethin?? I'm sure it'll get better for you in due time.. or maybe not -lol I'm no Ms. Cleo or anything. Universities aren't for everyone. But hope it works out for ya. and hey fobabee after 3 posts... what's up with the ranking system...
ahhh nahhh im in my 4th year actually... lol just this year and im gonna pick up a diploma in teaching.. them im outta uni! YAY! lol... still, i gotta get through this year first!
yeah. i definitely get what you mean. i'm also in the later years and still feel out of place. too late to quit now though. *cry*
haha last year but probably have to do further study as bachelor of arts doesnt do much! im glad that im not the only one out there feeling displaced at uni! is there anyone here that is having the time of their lives at uni? i have no social life to speak of coz im always studying... its really quite sad... but i guess its also my fault huh?
for me, uni consists of non-stop studying/working and never going out. i can't even take weekends off. (T.T) computer engineering is muthatruckin' biya. yea, it does suck....but i would rather be in school than not
that depends on the course you're taking i guess.. some of my mates studying.. i dunno.. philosophy or something have just like 2-3 lectures a week. sure they have to do a lot of self reading but they've got so much free time to themselves.. on the other end of the spectrum i'll be lucky if i could ask those studying medic to go out for a cup of tea..
aye, i enjoy uni.. i love doing what i do.. yeah the workload is a Bitch but after 3 years, youre bound to get used to it.
Man I so agree. I'm usually at school from like 9 AM til 10 PM doing work and classes. I forgot how many times I've had to even go to school to finish up some work. Gosh, can't forget finals week, where the most sleep I got was like 3 to 4 with little naps. School sucks
im in my first year of my psych. degree.. i have to say that it's quite a change frm high school.. there's more freedom but then sometimes more freedom can be detrimental. Throughout highschool, i was a major procrastinator and i promised myself i would kick the habit in uni. Never happened. Everyday is a struggle within myself to find motivation to persevere (sp?).. A major difference is that most ppl just wana "pass".. wtf? i dont understand the logic behind that.. why pay so mch money to just scrape though with a credit? =.= All in all, i haven't decided if i prefer uni to high school or vice versa..
man i loved uni~!! full tiem uni life plus part time work was da bomb~!!!! haha full time uni life meant being there 2.5 full days.. lol and then part time work mean ti had money to burn on the other days off.. now that i'm no longer at uni i do sorta miss it.. the social life aspect anyways.. haha coz full time work sorta blows even though it means mroe money but less time to spend it and enjoy it.. so my advise is to enjoy it while u still can~! final yr of uni was crazy for me though ... like assessment all the damn time~!
uni sucks :( im only in my first year and i am already bored of it. the work is bad and i can't afford to go out so that sucks too. there's too much pressure to do stuff with the circles i'm in. like people have said, uni isn't for everyone
i have always done well in school, so going to college isn't that bad.. although going to class isn't always required, i would recommend going anyway, and actually paying attention to the lectures.. some ppl can't seem to figure it out, but this makes studying a whole lot easier. and yeah shit happens but i don't understand the ppl that just continue to fail classes. why would u want to pay to retake the class, unless something really serious happens during the semester? i dunno, just try to figure out if u can stand it, if not do something else. school is not for everyone and i accept that but some ppl don't [parents!]
