If thinking of getting some for bed, price isn't an issue (seeing that its only ear buds), but im afraid of waking up one day to find it stuck in my ears, can that happen? if you do use them, some recommendations would be great.

you can do a timer on your ipod so it will switch off - so it won't waste battery.. :) I do 30mins if i'm really sleepy... if not 60mins.

Before i use to leave my comp on 24/7.. so i'll just play music from my computer through the speakers -lol

Loud enough i could hear it, but quiet enough that it wont disturb my family sleeping.

I still do that when i host Radio :p

I do that now but i wear sennheiser headphones, they are big and comfy but i only use them when i want to block out other sounds like noisy neighbour. but sometimes i want silence.

On most occasions i just play music through the TV (USB HDD connected), then put the timer on and set eco settings to 'picture off', much more economical than using PC.

but at time i need silence!!

I'm not sure Ipod or the like are good for your ears ... probably do more harm.

But I just use the ones from pharmacies for mowing the lawn. I have one of those riding mowers and it's loud and long. So I just use it to protect my hearing. It's pretty good ... I would say reduces about 90% of the noise of the mower.

its not my room, im renting, if it was mu house i would be sure to buy a place with brick walls instead of plaster.

Can you find them online? and what if you sleep on your side and your ear is against the pillow, does that push it right it?
