Hawick Lau Makes Yang Mi a Joint-Owner of New Home

Since declaring their dating relationship in January, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi’s (楊冪) love continued to intensify. Hawick saw Yang Mi as his significant other and even lavished her with a new luxury apartment in Hong Kong recently. Hawick added Yang Mi’s name to the property ownership, delighting her with his sincerity!

TVB actor, Lau Dan’s (劉丹) son, Hawick Lau, has risen to become one of mainland China’s top actors. With his newfound financial success, Hawick purchased a new home with his girlfriend in mind. Hawick said, “Yang Mi will have many opportunities to travel to Hong Kong for filming. I hope to give her a more comfortable environment to stay. She does not need to always stay in a hotel.”

Yang Mi was moved by Hawick’s gesture make her a joint-owner of the new house, which came as an unexpected surprise. Appearing at a luxury brand watch promotional event the day before, Yang Mi said, “I did not know of [Hawick's intention] earlier, so I was very surprised and moved.”

Yang Mi and Hawick Lau fell in love after filming mainland drama, Ruyi <如意>, last year together. The pair has become a “power couple” in China and was popular among advertisers, often appearing in promotional events together. After starring in movie, Holding Love <Hold住愛>, the lovers will next appear in mainland drama, Midsummer Clear Day <盛夏晚晴天>.

Midsummer Clear Day marks Hawick’s first attempt as a television producer. Yang Mi expressed confidence that Hawick will do a good job in overseeing the drama’s production. Yang Mi said, “I am very assured. He has good planning skills and is very competent.” Yang Mi laughed and said that she agreed to film for her boyfriend at a discounted price.

Yang Mi’s good friend, mainland actress, Tiffany Tang (唐嫣), has been romantically linked to Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) due to their collaboration in The Woman Above the Bread Tree <麵包樹上的女人>. After Tiffany dismissed her rumors with Bosco in her Weibo blog, Yang Mi also expressed confidence that Tiffany was not the “third party” in the Boscolie breakup.

Yang Mi said, “I chat with Tiffany Tang on a daily basis. I am very clear about her romantic status; I am certain that she is not involved with Bosco Wong.”
