Oh wow .. this song is old stuff but it's still good though. I like the original "French" version better .. at least it's more smooth, beautiful, and meaningful. The "English" translation kinda weakened the song's original meaning. I gotta admit, the song brings back a lot of fond memories. I miss Vietnam; but things are changing everyday and people are leaving left and right. I feel the "Vietnamese" flavor is somewhere mesh into the mainstream with the complexity of western and others Asians countries. Come to think of it, I think the name change from Saigon to Ho Chi Minh City was appropriate. I believe the Vietnamese are struggling to find its distinctive self especially in Saigon where there is large percentage of Chinese population. i had no idea who is chuckie or andre until ya'll posted their names here ...lol i think chuckie is a stronger rapper than andre though .. andre is a bit sissy...lol what's up with the Vietnamese dressing like "black" gangsta? gotta establish an individual style .. a bit funny there but certainly achieved the "Viet Pride" .. at least for the songs i heard.
