Here is my situation... I have two computers in the house on the same dsl connection. Right now, I just installed azureus on the "main" computer but the ports aren't open? I tried opening them, and afterwards I did the NAT test and I get an error. I used ports 8000-8400 for one computer and 8401-9000 for the main computer (i also set the IP addresses accordingly. Am i doing something wrong? Any help?
are u on a router?...i'd suggest not using azareus...it can get complicated..try using bitcomet or bitlord...
so you're saying I shouldn't use azureus for both? cause I'd hate to give up azureus on my other computer (it runs ever so smoothly)
ok...keep azareus on the comp its running on...however...for this other pc...in case we cant get axareus running..u mite need an alternate app..ok..back to the issue.. are you sure ur forwarding the ports correctly?...just in case...a guide: http://www.portforward.com/cportsnotes/azureus/azureus22.htm Knoc
probably windows firewall. There's also the program AVG (free edition) and I'm pretty sure I'm openning the ports correctly, I've done it before (on my personal computer anyways) oh, I went to my default gateway and opened the ports under Ports Forwarding
ok, try disabling the firewall. also, can you post a screenshot of ur port forwarding configuration.. are both these systems on a dhcp assigned ip?..if ports are opened on ur system...a nat error usually means ur router wasnt configd properly to forward traffic...hmph..
there's no need to forward any ports... just type in random port... maybe try a lower number... other wise it's your firewall... or maybe you can just ignore the error... happens to me a few times... but just give it time and the torrent eventually goes...
here dis should help... http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-524/Azureus.htm
i think 8401-9000 is too damn high... maybe something like around 4-6000...... so just enter your random port... then go on your router config page... and type in the same port you have... and ya should be all set...
when i open port forwarding for my comp it was all to do with the router configuration and none of my firewalls or av stopped it, as long as you allow the apps full access to the internet.
