As title said.. i got this error while trying to delete a file. Problems i went into: > can't delete > can't rename > can't move into another folder Yeahh.. i tried deleting the whole folder by itself too, but i still got "File is invalid, or file name is too long" Anyone know how to fix this?
my problem is PROBABLY this "Cause 3: File system corruption is preventing access to the file".. since i was downloading a file to my external then my external somehow got disconnected.. and therefore this happened. But other files work fine.. just to a folder that i was downloading to got corrupted. EDIT: Btw, i'm on Windows 7
always download the files to your local hdd and then move to external...some externals have sleep mode in between and is a pain in the butt some times... if the folder doesn't both you, leave it, or go back with your system restore...
i dont think my external has sleep.. because its the first time it happened. And i've had it for about .. half a year.. first time it's happened. I dont think System Restore works with External.. does it? EDIT: Here's a screen shot: Same error for all the files. Some even says cannot locate the file..
