That really depends what u like to do... http://www.granvilleisland.com/ - public market right by the water, street performances, artsy stores, theatre sports at night.. etc http://www.grousemountain.com/grousegrind - a good hike up the mountain if u like that sorta stuff http://vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/stanley-park.aspx - awesome scenery along the coast; rent bikes, blades etc and enjoy the view http://www.robsonstreet.ca/ - shopping district, downtown core http://rawcanvas.com/ - this is kinda fun, eat & paint so yeah.. depends wut u like to do. enjoy ur stay!
^ lol, the grouse grind is serious stuff! hope this isn't too late, but if you're there for only a day, i'd say you want to check out robson street and gastown, both of which are in downtown vancouver. there are heaps of asian malls and centres in nearby richmond as well if you want to check those out. aberdeen centre and parker place are a few off the top of my head. there's also river rock casino if you want to try your luck.
