This is my first post and I am wondering if anyone could help me with my ps3 problem. I just recently bought a new Sony Bravia HDTV "S" Series (1080p 60hz) and i connected my ps3 with it using the hdmi cables into the HDMI port. Everything was fine at first and i was able to play my ps3 in hd, but one day when i started the ps3 up and tried to play it, the screen was black and the tv displayed a "no signal" sign. I tried holding onto the ps3 powerbutton for more than 5 seconds to make it re-configure itself, but nothing. I have also tried plugging in the normal ps3 cable and the hdmi cable together to set the ps3's video output to 1080 HD and change it to HD, and still nothing appeared and the same "no signal" sign appeared. I also checked the hdmi cable if it worked or not and it did.

Please, if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. This problem has been driving me crazy. Any tips and advice would be helpful.

    MUCH THANKS!

Have you tried the normal AV cable or SCART? obviously you want to play in HD so maybe just try and see what happens. A couple of times the HDMI cable just came loose. hope you get it sorted, pal.

do you use your TV for watching normal channels or just gaming?
you should try a new HDMI cable to see if that works

uhh... for the sake of this post i'm gonna suggest a few possibilities... some of which might sound retarded to you, but i don't know your level of knowledge lol.

    a) did you try changing what 'Video' its on? making sure the TV is set to the proper HDMI input?
    b) try plugging the HDMI cord into a different port on the TV and switching to that one on the sony display
    c) does the PS3 display fine on the TV when its using the regular bundled A/V cables?

also, if you have the 40" S series its not capable of 1080P which could be some of your problem... if you've got the 46" then you should have no problems. Also the 46" has 3 HDMI ports, so you should try plugging into all of them to see if any work.
