High-heel sprint in St. Petersburg Women compete in a high-heel sprint in St.Petersburg July 21, 2007. Some 100 women took part in the race wearing high-heeled shoes with a required minimum height of 9 centimetres (3.5 inches) to compete for a shopping voucher worth 50,000 roubles (about $2,000). More pictures after the jump.
This high heel running event has also been done in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Just wonder if besides St. Petersburg, Russia other locations with this "women" sport -bigsmile
How about orgnizing one in NYC -bigsmile With extra challenges like exploding steam pipes and buildings -evil
wried..... i wonder how many girls broke their ankle. if i was asked to join a race like that, it better be more than 2 grand US dollars and not a voucher
That must have looked really silly with everyone tripping and falling. Maybe like a lot of sophisticated women running for a limited sale offer for an expensive purse or something, kekeke.
