Looks like all the rumors were true:

In a rush? For a quick synopsis, just read the red highlighted lines.

Well, the republicans are thankful if she gives up her senate seat, but all in all, IMHO, this was a good move for the US.

  2. LOL dont you remember the secret meeting that obama and Hillary had just before or after she gave up the presidential race?

this was decided already, dont be surprised. why do you think she stepped down and started supporting obama so quickly? she was TOLD that obama will be president and she will be sec of state.

    and people think votes matter!!

Of course I remember, that's when there was scuttlebutt about her being named as veep, but everyone was surprised when he announced Biden instead.

I'm certain that they did make a deal; that's politics. When Hillary was faced with losing, she had very little option left. Obama also, did not want to squander political capital in dragging on a fight amongst democrats when he sorely needed to focus on McCain. So in the end, it was the best of both worlds; Clinton is going to be a very strong asset in terms of foreign relations, even more so than Obama and I think he recognizes that.

And votes do matter. They may not matter as much if things are close (like Obama v Clinton, who can then negotiate) but they do matter for general public leanings, to filter out the rabble and get people to the point where they see the need to negotiate.

  4. ^ people saying votes matter and not accepting its all rigged and decided beforehand after Bush became president is beyond me!!!

remember n this meeting it was decided that obama would be pres and hillary in the post she has received, this was decided before the votes were done, votes dont matter. but it will come down to your opinion vs my opinion.

but i don't really care anyway, im not American -shock
