Adorable couple Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) have officially started their pre-wedding customs. On Thursday, a photo of Tavia with her pre-wedding gifts was posted on the Internet. Her large pile of red wedding gifts filled up the entire room; even Tavia herself could barely be seen behind them. According to traditional Chinese wedding customs, the groom must send betrothal gifts to his soon-to-be bride’s home to confirm their engagement. These gifts include a variety of different clothes, foods and drinks, such as pastries, abalone, fruits, meat, and wine. After receiving these gifts, the bride will answer the engagement by sending dowry to the groom’s home. Him, who grew up in the walled villages, strongly values traditional practices and did all of the preparations himself. The couple will continue to follow traditional wedding customs for their upcoming wedding banquet, which will be held on October 2. Many industry friends have already received their wedding invitations, such as Liza Wang (汪明荃), Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Power Chan (陳國邦), and much more. Creds: Oriental Daily
