I downloaded a movie that has extension .avi.001 straight through to .avi.006. My problem is this: I stupidly decided to rename the parts to movie1.avi, movie2.avi, and so on in hopes that it would play. Only after that didn't work did I stumble across this forum and found out I needed HJSplit to join the film. I downloaded the program, but even though I've renamed the pieces to .avi.001 etc. or simply .001, HJSplit does not recognize it, and it doesn't show up at all in the Browse section. Additionally, there's the WMP icon that AVI/WMV files have next to each file. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help is appreciated.
