HK ID, need some help plz

hello,

I have a question about the Hk ID,

2 years ago I went to HK to get a ID card. I got a letter that I can come back to hk to finish the other stuffs like fingerprint etc...

I´m afraid that the permission is expired-unsure

I´m planning go to Hk this summer.

does anyone here knows more about the HK ID.

Well, if you got a reason why u are late, then its no problem.

 

yupz....just say you've been busy....and a good one is the air tixs are ubbber expensive...which it is..!!!..

 

So long as you have shown that you have been to HK every 3 years you should be fine. This is because if you have gone past the 3 years limit you can lose the chance of getting one. So if you are planning to go back to HK this summer and you are still within 3 years of going back form your last trip then you should be fine.

You should be able to book a place to sort out your ID online before you make your trip back so then you are gauranteed to get seen whilst you are there

How long will you be staying in HK? Because I think it takes about 2 weeks to get it sorted, so if you are only there for a short trip you can either get your ID sent to a relative's home in HK or get someone to collect it for it in person and all you need is their HK ID number, name and his or her's address then they can either keep hold of it for you or when one of your relatives fly back to HK they can always grab it for you

 

im in the same boat as you...i did my forms literally the day before i left hk and i was there for 2 months, i was thinking of going back this year but plans don't allow me to so i have to go back next year so i can get my HKID. It's so much easier to have a HKID in case i want to look for a job there because i almost got a job offer but i didn't have a HKID or wasn't there for the in person interview. Why don't you ask your family members since they have the forms and stuff right?

ah thnx guys, I think that I will stay @ hk for 2-3 weeks, and if the ID is done, my family will collect my card.

 

that should be more than enough time for you to collect it yourself book an appointment for jnear on the next day you arrive at HK and you should be able to collect it

 

Even if u havent been in HK for 3 years, just deliver them a good reason for example school/university or work. They will accept it, I havent been in HK back then for almost 6 years and I got my 3star ID now ^^

 

Crystal84 is right. I also havent been to HK for more than 6 a 7 years. Just give the agency a good reason and everything will be fine.
