u need to download and install the "Real alternative" afterwards. After the installation you can play real media files with the mediaplayer classic or the windows media player
i dont know why, but i can view rmvb file with mediaplayerclassic but with no sounds at all (video is playing perfectly). That's why i stuck to RealPlayer.
I'm using stormcodec AND KMPlayer, both dated from 2007; cause all newer versions contains viruses and ads
i'm using a fairly old version of k-lite media codec but it's not that old and it plays all the stuff that i have so no need to update.
Seriously? CCCP is very comprehensive but that doesn't mean you can just say CCCP every time someone has a playback issue. It's a great codec pack, but it doesn't play EVERYTHING. FYI, rm and rmvb aren't natively supported by CCCP and thus the OP will still need Real Alternative or use Real player. Think before you type?
^@ thejelly well cccp is better than k-lite, secondly ive used cccp and had no trouble with rmvb (my experience), whereas this dude has with k-lite. so actually installing cccp would be solving two things at once. so actually i did think about it. seriously who the fuck are you to tell me what to do. How does he solve 2 problems with CCCP? He's having problems with RMVB playback, CCCP doesn't solve it because it doesn't natively support that codec. Secondly, you have to have real alternative or something to playback rmvb because CCCP won't do it. So, essentially CCCP solves NOTHING for him.

It doesn't change the fact that his playback issue was already resolved and your suggestion did not help in the least. And since that was his only problem CCCP doesn't help him in any way. God...your posts are hard to read.
^ see, why couldnt you of just something similar to that in the first place (like cccp wont work) when i made that comment there was only one response and my comment was about klite and not the solution (as the solution was already mentioned). but after i made the post i realized that it had been a while since i opened that thread (cos i was gaming), and more people responded before my comment, i should of edited my post but it was late and i couldnt be arsed... so i didnt, then you came along and made your response to me. at the end of the day... not everyone online is a fucking noob.
I already said that it won't work with CCCP in my first post. Dumbass. Also, kilite wasn't the problem and thus your "solution" wasn't a solution.
