i just downloaded it and it says drag link to the little icon to start downloading but it doesnt work any ideas???
Wrong section to post a question like this. To use bitcomet, all you have to do is click on the bitcomet icon, the software should open up, then you click on whichever task you want to start downloading.
yes i know but i clicked on some links i wanted but its not downloading at all.... any ideas y this is??

if you use mozilla just click open the torrent with bitcomet and then press ok and then you can download, if you use internet explorer you can just download the torrent file and open it and bitcomet should start up automatically, unless you messed with certain settings...
Right click downloads - save as...choose a place to save it and drag it into bitcomet. Thats how i do it for utorrent, i don't like auto-run...or running it. It depends where your downloading the torrent as well... If you hover over links you can see if its a torrent file or not...thus right click - save as...will present itself as a torrent file or html or wateva. If your getting things from a private tracker, you must be a member...eg. demonoid or you won't be able to access or download the torrents. (where are you downloading from?)
Aren't we nice. Anyways, I'd suggest you use the older versions of BitComet. I'm assuming that you can't work it because the new versions are a bit messy. If you're still lost, use google.
yeh, i just cant be bothered to type out some LONG guide on how to torrent, when there are probably thousands out on the web already and probably will explain it better than me even the bitcomet webby has an FAQ and forum...
