how do u design a banner ?

hey guys, someone give me some pointers?
what programs u use? or any software u can use on the net etc...

 

i think most people will be using Photoshop, there are plenty of tutorials out on the web

 

Probably photoshop or some variation of freeware with similar functionalities?

Me = Photoshop illiterate.

or try Xara Xtreme... but i prefer photoshop

 

photoshop... definitely the best for such purposes.. easy to use and learn too. cant reli think of any other alternatives of similar capabilities..

 

Photoshop in combination with Illustrator is for me the dynamic duo

 

o.. true.. problem with ps is tat it works mostly with raster images while illustrator works with vectors.. (if im not mistaken).. so the file can get really huge if the canvas sheet is really big.. like real banner size (anything more than A0 is really huge).. so slow pcs can 4get abt doing anything..

 

I guess everyone before me already told u the basics haha! Photoshop and/or Illustrator depending on ur own tastes haha! but u SHOULD use MS Paint FTW lmao! JK dont listen to me haha!

If you're really cluesless with PS, you can make a banner with paper and colour pencils...

Scan it in and resize it to the right banner format PA wants.
