I think... sometimes when you look around.. and you see guys giving you the "elevator" stare.. or maybe when they're constantly looking at you.. and you glance over and see? I dunno.. im not too sure.. but thats my guess! =)
OMG! U have got to be kiddin me right? c'mon i mean as in being "checked" out. When the opposite sex looks at you in the "oh, he's hot" sort of look...
Oh, i was thinking about something else, thats y. Every time you look their directions, they turn their heads quickly. If they in a group, giggling and looking at you constantly.
^ those scenarios apply in public to perfect strangers. Or while you shopping, constantly bumping each other, where at one point, conversation sparks.
Sometimes I get annoyed by the "elevator stares" when I am in a bad mood =_=bbb But yeah, that would be a good indication, although most people do it quite inconspicuously nowadays...
the giggling part is something that only girls does...would like to see a group of guys giggling over a girl someday, that'd be kinda funny if a guy/girl stares at you and when you look at them they smile and look away ...then the are probably checking you out =)
Guys don't giggle, they do the whole "that chick's hot" laugh thing... But xixi is right about the people who checks other out tends to smile THEN look away when they got caught
^ like that's eva happened to you before.... lol anyway when a guy passes by and purposely makes eye contact with me for a couple moments or looks me over lol which for the most part creeps me out depending on who he is.. Or sometimes when I go out and some dummie calls out "hey girl..." or "whats up girl?.." what is worst is when they pass by in their car and beep and look out their window staring or smiling at me. *thats when the evil-eye comes in handy* lol
When guys check out a woman when they're by themselves, they steal many brief glances at the woman and try to avoid letting them see. If you catch them during one of these glances, they will smile and pretend they just turned to look at you for the first time. If a group of guys are checking out a woman, you will usually see one guy glance at the girl, tap all the other guys and they will all turn to look at her, and finally they will bust out laughing really loud making obscene gestures or saying obscene things while they comment on some sort of physical attribute that the girl has.
it annoys me that there is even a remote chance that a girl thinks that I am checking her out when i am not. My eyes have to look somewhere. I can't just close them when i am not sleeping.

lol i was at chinook mall once and sitting in the food court with a buddy... these chicks i have never seen before were sitting on the other side of some fake plants and were giggling and poking a stuffed animal over the top of the plants and tapping my head with it and making weird noises. in my opinion the giggling = obvious sign of being checked out, and tapping on the head = flirting. of course not all girls are that obvious, but it was pretty amusing nonetheless.
