Say someone expresses to you how they think you/your personality is For example telling someone that they dont know anything about art when inside that person always is very artistic Or someone thinks you dont know anything becuase you dont watch the news (but you actually do, just dont make a habit of chatting about it Basically when someone makes an assumption about you which is not exactly positive. 1) How does this make you feel? 2) What do you do when someone you are close with has this image of you that you dont agree with? 3) What do you do when someone you aren't with has this image of you that you dont agree with?

(that would be my reaction) someone i don't care? ---- let it be, like what flaming said. my friends? --- i would start doubt our friendship because, how can they not know who i am during our friendship years? 2) What do you do when someone you are close with has this image of you that you dont agree with? - i cant be their ideal friend or anything; they should've know who i am. I guess i will show them the real thing, instead of telling them, "I know that! I'm not stupid." 3) What do you do when someone you aren't with has this image of you that you dont agree with? if that person is someone i don't care -- my view is the same as flaming, i'm glad my real self is hidden

We all make assumptions of people we encounter without knowing who they are so why stress over it? 2> First off, why do they have this image of me that I don't agree with? If it is something I said or did, then I have nothing to say. If they are just assuming, then maybe we're not as close as we pose to be. 3> If we agree'd on everything, either they are lying or I am lying. Live life as it comes to you. Not everyone is going to see you the way you perceive yourself.
i see i see......... well if it's someone i really like, i will show them who am i. i.e, if he thinks i never read newspaper, i'll include some minor headlines from the newspaper in our conversation. If he doesn't know about them, i'll be like, "Huh? You don't even know about them?" lol.
couldn't agree more....... who cares whut others think....its whut YOU think that counts..!!! and ya say its in terms of relationships and stuff...id say do nuttin about it.... mebe he/she like you that way...just carry on as normal...

I think most people see what they want to see in a person, not necessarily means that the person is that way. People are always full of surprises.. 2) What do you do when someone you are close with has this image of you that you dont agree with? I'd be upset that they would think that way.. But as previously said, people are always full of suprises. 3) What do you do when someone you aren't (I'm guessing, this is supposed to be are) with has this image of you that you dont agree with? It depends on whether with communication, things can be cleared up. If not, then maybe things weren't meant to be.
Yea this is similar to how i feel. It makes me upset when it's someone i'm close with, sometimes i get defensive but if it's someone i'm not close with dont feel unhappy, but instead try to subtlely show them that I am not
I would cry ... and then cry some more. Nahh, I'm kidding... I don't think I would care too much unless it was people I was really close with. Because they should know better. But who cares what the people who you aren't close with think about you? It's not going to affect you in any way - just keep living life the way you want to !
