Instead of "????????" how can I get the characters on my computer whenever I visit sites of different language?
Do you have the windows CD by any chance? If so, go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options. Click on the Languages tab Check the Install files for East Asian Languages Click Apply
yea, you need a xp disc for the languages, since they don't offer asian languages for update downloads...
If you don't have the WIndows XP cd. You can try download and install the Chinese/Japanese ... fonts. I think it will work too.l
yea u can. but in vista its automatically installed. but having sed that even if u have the chinese installed, sometimes when u get files that are in chinese, it doesn't translate for some strange reason, but if u retype it in then it will work. but it will work on websites if u want to read chinese/japanese/korean.
Go to yahoo.hk or .jp or w/e and they will ask you to download a language pack to view their page. Hope that helps.
im having the same problem too. my computer is windows xp and im using firefox but i dont have the original xp cd to install the language... is there any other way i could get my computer read chinese without the cd? :ugh:
