How do you socialize with your gf/bf parents

seriously all I do is watch anime and play games all day I have no idea what to talk about

infact, when I do talk, I'm actually an asshole

I have no idea what to talk about with someone 20+ years older than me

I hunger for bananas btw

 

well, usually the parents start a conversation with me, like how's school... etc, and u start from there, but seriously, i have nothing to ask them... i can talk about wut kinda brat their daughter is, that's bout it. lol

 

ask your gf what their interests are first and then build the conversation around that....

 

i'm a girl... i get away with it easily... i make a few jokes n the parents crack up n they like me...

but if ur a guy i guess u need to act a bit mature in front of gf's parents... it's always bonus points if u act like ur serious abt ur relationships n have some kinda plan for the future n know wot ur doing...

when ur a girl...just help with doing the dishes...show interest in cooking, go shopping with the mom and stuff like that
once the mother likes u...the dad will like u too cuz imo the mothers are always harder to satisfy...

hmmm....my ex bf used to bring food over when he came to dinner...and sometimes some of my mothers fav cake or whatever...
U have to give them the impression ur a decent
He used to chat with my dad about cars& watch soccer with him...

haha...long distance was 2,5 hours...so its not THAAAAT long but still...im not gonna let him travel 5 hours everytime we are meetin up u know...
and even if i did...what the hell are we gonna do everytime we meet up....hang out outside all the time =/ ?

anyways, what I do is just talk with them about your gf, school and other random stuff, you can talk about anything, dont show too much from your negative sides though cuz parents are usually worried if their daughter's bf isn't such a good person XD

I find that a lot of times the parents are amazed that you can actually speak, write and read chinese. Its much easier to work on the mother since majority of them watch TVB shows and etc.
