I bet with Pocky! And this is why most sports don't operate in Nevada. If I were ever to...I'd only bet on boxing/animal races...since they've already been soiled, and leave the rest clean.
Only once with classmates with the Football World Cup and I won thanks to the weird combo Jamaica-Japan. Might place some bets on football in the near future and I want to bet on horse racing at the Hong Kong Jockey Club when I'm there at the right season.

i only bet on the world cup and the super bowl. don't want to end up like friends who always poke fingers around and end up in a deep ass hole. in deep hole i mean 40 grand +
i bet on some NHL and NBA games with friends.....nothing too big though....it makes it more exciting when you bet then watch for the outcome.
the occasional bet between friends....and maybe a horse track or something like a few times a year....other than that..can't say im a fan of bettin on sports...
I only bet on big sporting events. For example when the world cup is on, when the european championship is on and olympics. Weekly club games, i do not bet on. I will never bet more then half of my days wage.
I used to gamble on basketball, football and baseball. Baseball is easy money if you do your homework. But if you are unlucky you can lose a lot of money due to the money line. Or if you are lucky and bet on the heavy dog and they win you could win a lot more than you would lose.
