Okay .. I went to the local Walgreen pharmacy to pick up some medication refills for my parents. It was a long line for lunch hour so I waited for about 20 min for my turn to pay for the meds. I bought two bags of Valentine candy for kids at my daughter's daycare center last week but staffs said NO candies so I decided to return the two bags which cost $2.69. The cashier looked at me like I was some cheap ass dude who can't spare a few bucks and held up the line; was freaking rude to me. She had to call the manager over to do returns and people were waiting but I didn't care since I had to wait too. Is it my fault that they were under-staffed? NO.

Anyway, after about 15 mins dealing with the returns and presc insurance payments. I asked the cashier whilst her manager was still there .. "which day are you off?" Before I got to finish, she said, "sorry, I am married" and flashed her ring at me. The manager was laughing. So I replied, "no, that's not what I meant, I wanted to know which day you're off so I can avoid coming in when you're here at the register .. you're slow and discourteous .. I am not interested in you and I am married too .. you're so full of yourself. Please wake up." Before I knew, tears were rolling down her face and people was talking shit about me as I walked out the store. Was it my fault? NO. Amazingly, I wasn't a bit mad at all .. just funny thinking about it again now.

No it's not your fault for them being understaffed. And no I have done it several times in the shops and banks taking my time when I stood in the queue for like half hour.

However women are that sensitive, slightest little prick against them they can roll the tear jerkers. I personally think she was crying for attention any way because (stereotypically) when they see a man make a woman cry, other people will automatically think it's the man's fault. I won't care about them, you never now, she might have a warning or some sort form her manager when he heard your comments about her

Some people can be very sensitive in what you say. I think it was also because there was a large crowd of audience which made her badly embarassed and upset. Don't worry about it, she'll only remember it was one of the asians customers that made her cry. But you prpbably went too far with 'your so full of yourself'.

  5. Haha wow... I must say, I liked that reply lmao

But then again, to be honest, both parties aren't necessary not at fault. Both could have avoided this situation. She was at fault for her behaviour, and terrible service. That's unacceptable. However, that comment, as much as I enjoyed reading it, could have been withheld, so to not aggravate the situation... There are other things that can be said, without verbally falcon punching her lol

But, anyways, she'll probably be the only person to remember this, depending on how often you visit Walgreen's.. If I was a customer waiting behind you, I'd probably laugh, and not remember it the next day

LOL. Who doesn't think of moments like this to put on PA?

But as Dan said, yes, you two could have avoided this situation.

They also get paid to do their job.. so customers expect the staffs to do their job. Whatever the customers do, they shouldn't be rude to the customers.

Being frugal is far different from being CHEAP. What was I supposed to do with the candies? Throw them out?? That's wasteful. Since I was there, might as well returned it.

Come on .. I am not working but back in school now. I am living off my savings. If you're like me; gotta take care of family - bills and mortgages .. every dollar counts buddy. Of course, I am not to the point where I am desperate; nevertheless, it's a good habit to SAVE, right?

Whether or not it's worth it to return the candy is besides the point. Poor customer service is poor customer service. As a cashier it's her job to serve paying customers, not decide whether or not the item they're trying to return is worth the trouble. If he was asking for something ridiculous, fine, I see why she would have an attitude. All he wanted to do was return a bag of candy; is that too much to ask?

"The cashier looked at me like I was some cheap ass dude who can't spare a few bucks and held up the line; was freaking rude to me." Well kinda depends on how rude she was if she was just raising up her voice etc then i wouldn't care as long as i get return but talking shit directly then yeah otherwise it might be a personal case of paranoia. Maybe their return policy is shit too lol at a store like target i would be able to to return that like nothing if it isn't open. If they have low staff and you just trip out because you have to wait 15 mins in line thats just some douchebag shit right there, that is only if the customer service person was actually trying to help though. Of course i will never buy anything i don't need anymore or expect any help from the customer service after a 15 min line on a non holiday season lol. Just like Kohls, they seriously have some of the dumbest customer service reps out there no joke they will tell you they have an item that they dont actually have and the person doesn't even apologize when you confront them. But luckily their discount policies are too easy to exploit -tongue2

Yup .. went there to pick up meds .. not gonna go there just to return the candies .. that would be stupid and a waste of time and gas. Like Kontra said, poor cust serv is poor cust serv .. can't deny it. How rude? .. gave her the candies and said to return then she literally threw it back at me and said "you wanna return that" with an attitude "wait here."

A pro would've said something like: ok, please wait here and I'll go get the manager to process the returns.

I've returned something at Asda for about £2, never had that service before, think the staff are just badly trained in where you bought you candies.

I don't know about bad training. Training is just training .. provides you the basic stuffs .. one has to use his/her own judgment to resolve things. Training doesn't tell you how to react or do when a robber come in with a gun and shit .. know what I mean?

This cashier, herself has a prob and it will cost her job one of these days.
