1) Click Go Advanced on your post 2) Click Manage Attachments 3) A new window should pop up and prompt you to browse files for attachments 4) Once you attached closed the window and press Submit Reply on your post
oh, no, its nothing to do with my siggy. Im trying to put attached torrent files into spoilers but at the moment it aint working well
you can't, u can only add pix and text/links in spoilers as the attachments are way below of everything
Actually there is a way. I have just done it, but in a way this is more like linking text to attachment. I manage to put torrents into the spoilers. This has worked for Epi01 and Epi31. I have even deleted the post from which the torrent epi01 and epi31 was attached to. Although this only works if I use Quick Edit to delete the post. But using Advanced Edit to delete the post seems to remove the link.
then technically u can't because like you have mentioned, you are hotlinking it with text; every attachment is linked with your profile, they are saved there, therefore if you soft delete the post ur attachments are intacted, but if u decide to remove it completely then you have removed it from your profile as well;
It is possible to put in all torrents in to spoilers I'm already doing it without hotlinking. Check out all my current threads =D Noasian is right, hotlinking will not work out, in the end, when a mod/admin sees so many deleted post, they will hard-delete it for you. Which results all the hotlinks will no longer work! Steps: 1) Once you've managed too attached things to your post (which is a maximum of 5), except for mods =P[STU="1"]Unlimited attachments by merging posts. -headbang[/STU]2) Go to ADVANCED on your post 3) Click on the paperclip/MANAGE ATTACHMENT 3) A rollover window popups and prompt you to browse files for attachments 4) Browse/select INSERT ALL. This way all torrents attachments will be on the post where you want instead of below your post as attachments! with the [ ATTACH]22489[/ ATTACH] codes, you are already hotlinking as you can see that the link is showing the actual torrent name & the link is the actual unique address of where the file is [ domain/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=23507&d=1254276445 ] anything that is a 'shortcut' to a file or address is already a "hotlink"
Try hotlink yet only with this code [ ATTACH]22489[/ ATTACH] while the torrents are located at other posts? Cause it won't work at all =D This code gives you the opportunity/more power too let your attachments to be upstairs/elsewhere/editable instead of downstairs as attachments of your actual post. any shortcut to where the location of file is a HOTLINK, no matter how you do it; just like a shortcut of an icon on your desktop to where the location of file actually is, just a different wording but it is hotlinking either way hotlinking or not, good that someone posted a solution =)
