i really want to start uploading all my movies but the problem is.. i dont know how to set the movie audio to 1 language instead of dual when converting the VCD/DVD movies to .AVI file. im sure the people who downloads chinese movies here would want to watch my movies in Cantonese ONLY. anyone care to help?
I think it's integrated in the program depends on what you use, look in options for audio channel then set it. And even if it's dual audio people can still set left or right itself.
by dual audio if its from a VCD then you can't remove one of the audio since its all merged to one track hence they are playing simultaneously (if the audio is selectable like a DVD then its different) so if you try and remove one you will remove the whole thing
alright then. guess ill just upload them in dual language. DragonLoaded: what do you use to convert your movies to .avi files? cause i see that all your movies uploaded are in good quality. i just used Xilisoft Video Converter 3 to convert one of the VCD movies to .avi and the quality didnt turn out so good. its still watchable but i was expecting better quality.
If you convert a VCD movie to AVI, I don't think the quality is that good. Most of the high quality divx movie are ripped from DVD
well if u watch on tv...just remove left or right channel by unplugging the wire...if its on your computer just slide it on one side with your sound option btw use speakers when u watch on computer...sux on headset
yeh i dont know of any encoding software that will let you choose just the left or right channel to rip if it has 2 audio tracks than most encoders should let you select either plus most dvd players etc will let you choose left or right audio
