wow, why do so many ppl ask this!!!! um, -don't download old torrents with no seeds -change you settings on your BT client -most importantly, get a better internet connection also, take a look at these two tutorials 9 Bittorrent How-tos http://www.dramasian.com/showthread.php?t=6417 Bitcomet Booster Tweak http://www.dramasian.com/showthread.php?t=6090
Open up more ports. Most computers are configured only to let a max of 10 ports open because of security reasons. But if you search around on the net for this patch, it'll allow you to open many more ports, thereby speeding up downloads. As well, limit your upload rate. Furthermore, I've noticed that before I moved house, my internet connection was connected through an ethernet capable, and my downloads were incredibly fast. But after moving houses, I had to switch to a wireless connection (because the hosue is bigger), and my downloads aren't as fast anymore. Perhaps sticking with the good ol' cable is more reliable.
wireless, as it stands cant achieve speeds as wired....you never get the full capacity with wireless...forfls..i'd stick with the ethernet connection....and as for bt tricks and tips..nirv has u on a good start...but nothing can help the amount of seeders and ur net connection...
with wireless you'll never get the speeds they advertise...n with 802.11n..that ads speeds of min 200 Mbit/s to max 540 Mbit/s...u'll most likely hit half of the minimum or it will be buggy as hell since hardware for n is somewhat unstable at the moment...
i dont think this actually works. I read that the port limit, only limits the amount of connections opening at once, but not overall. Ive tried it, i opened up 45 ports to BC and it didnt seem to have any effect so i punched it back down to 20 and 10 and everything is still the same...
