China’s model couple Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and Angelababy (楊穎) may have triggered a lot of debate with their extravagant “wedding of the century”, but they are definitely using their fame for good. After taking the entertainment circle by storm with their 200 million RMB Shanghai wedding last month, newlyweds Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy went straight back to work. But the famous couple, known for their activism and philanthropy, decided to work together to support the needy elderly in Qingdao, Shandong. Qingdao is Xiaoming’s hometown, and it is also where Xiaoming and Angelababy registered their marriage in May. Over the years, Xiaoming has set up non-profit organizations all over Qingdao. Just this past Lunar New Year, Xiaoming and Angelababy spent their holidays volunteering around the city to help elderly men and women who are without families. Earlier this week, the couple, dressed in black, returned to Qingdao to visit the elderly. They also donated a huge sum of money to a series of elementary schools and interacted with its students, giving them scarves as gifts.
