Hybrid, although they are a little more expensive. Living in NYC it doesn't make much sense to own a gas guzzler, I'd get like 7mpg. Plus, I'd like the do my part to help the environment. Electric cars will make a comeback.
Transit is the way to go for daily commuting, but transit can't get you everywhere you need to go, or its a huge hassle. It's also inconvenient when you have a lot of cargo.
^ There's no winning or whatnot, it's just my view. I know plenty of people who think it's a status symbol to own a SUV (then I secretly hope they get charged big time for property tax each year) It's just expensive to keep a car. Is all. Same goes for house vs. apartment. Apartment all the way just because I grew up that way.
get a hybrid if you drive your car for 10+ years or if you drive a lot of miles, but if you don't then a gas guzzler will most likely be cheaper in the long run
I guess u can classify my car as a gas guzzler... i get 16mpg =/ But that's my choice, I choose to drive my car because to me, a car is about more than going from a to b... and it's one of the few cars that fit my budget in which all my desires of a car were met... would i prefer to drive a hybrid? sure... if a reasonably priced hybrid can do what my car does... sign me up...
I would rather have a hybrid. I actually have one right now and even though the power isn't too great, when you fill up the tank, you feel so much better only spending around 20-30 bucks instead of 40-50.
they should make hybrids cheaper, and design them better as well.. hybrids for the long run! save mother earth!
Not really a good way to go if this happens.... http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_10098.aspx I would Drive a Hybrid also, So high Tech. lol
Yeah, but accidents happens, it's not like DVP doesn't have its fair share of occasional accidents and constant congestion. At least I still get to sleep through my commune.
