ok i have no idea what happened, i turned off my computer and then the next day when i turned it on it asked me a password to log into the computer. First of all, i didn't even put a password on it and It couldn't be any of my sisters because i was the last one on it. Can anyone please tell me what happened?? my cousin says i should reboot my computer but i dont know how and what i really hate right now is that if i do reboot it..i'm going to lose everything (files) in my computer please help
First off, are you sure no one last used the computer beside you and activated the password feature? What operating system are you using? What do you see on the password screen? What where you doing before you signed off? How exactly, did you "turn it off" when you left it? Also, a "reboot" won't remove all your data, i think you are referring to a "reformat". Knoc
http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=305 http://www.infopackets.com/channels.../2006/20060607_forgot_user_password_winxp.htm Google is ur friend. And haha you got hacked! =p
lolz, this happened to me when i had my old computer *(windows millennium). I just click on cancel when it asked me to enter the password. And it works.
I C. I C. If you are using XP. then go into the admin panel and fix it I would make sure I have an new account with admin priveleges before logging off cause there might be more problems if you can;t get back in...
yeah i'm sure, i was the last one to use it because i went to sleep after i turned it off and everyone was asleep too. How i turned it offff....umm i pressed the start button and then "turn off computer." yeahh reformat....how do i do that?
^ ohh xDDD...i just used your method...with the safe mode and the admin account AND IT WORKED! thank you so much ^^ Owe you big time xD
lol viruses are gay you should run AVG virus protector atleast if you dont have anything else... its free to use and fairly good. also id use a program like Adaware to sweep ur computer for trojans and shit like once a week.
just transfer you files to someone elses comp or any alternative hardrive, then after you reformat you will still have your files :]
just be smart about what stuff you go to online. i dont know why anyone would hack you though. average people have no reason to be hacked. We have nothing hackers want. kinda weird.
