Friday October 19, 2007 Hong Kong Damien Lau (劉松仁), Idy Chan (陳玉蓮) and Joe Ma (馬德鐘) led the cast members from TVB series Thieves With Principles <盜亦有道> at the blessing ceremony today, marking the beginning of studio filming. Idy was still not fully recovered after losing her voice on the first day of location filming, but she is continuing her treatment with Chinese herbal medicine and does not plan to speed up her recovery using Western drugs because she felt that Western medicine does not cure the root cause. At first, Idy did not want to talk to the reporters, but after much persuasion, she said a few words quietly. She whispered: "My cold has gone now and I think the problem is down to a throat infection affecting my voicebox." Asked if her illness was caused by her not being used to the filming environment. she said that this was not the case because she was suffering on her very first day. She explained that the reason she lost her voice was because she had to film three scenes back to back where she was shouting and this injured her voice. However, she said that she would continue filming and would work on dubbing over her scenes after she has recovered. Damien was asked if he had given Idy any tips to protect her voice, he said: "The most important thing is for her to get her rest, but she has to work every day and it can't be helped." He added that this has not affected progress of filming, but it means that he will have more work when he has to record the dubbing with her later.
