    Alrighty guys here goes.

I've been out of the gaming scene for awhile and I'm in need of the latest "system killer". I'm building a new system and I'm looking for a game that will make it beg for mercy. Is Crysis still top dog or has it been dethroned?

Side note: I know my system is considered high end and the game will crush it but I figure it'll be fun to try out.

    Thanks in advanced.

lol i think until crysis 2 comes out there is nothing on consoles or PC that tops crysis in terms of graphics and resource hogging (in the word of PC fanboys).

    Thanks (Y)

So Crysis is still the first pick if I'm looking for something that will molest my system.

  4. unless it's capable of running it at 256fps..

I finally got the system running and Crysis installed. It runs smooth at 1600 x 1200 res with 4x AA and all the other features set to the max. Haven't gotten too far in the game, only played up to the part where you jam the radio thing.

Game just crashes when I try bumping the AA to 8x. System needs more work I guess. Lol.

    That would be sweet!
    Haha you're insane.

Crysis will be the top game for you to drain your system specs on.

Even if you had top of the line equipment, it'll never be run at that high of frame rates..... it's a poorly coded game... that's why you crashed when you pushed the settings up.

Nice to hear it's rocking Crysis well. I need to get more insight/benchmark/performance reads on the ssd's/i7's before i make the drop.
Need to see how the ssd's will perform in raid and what dual i7's will push out.

Thanks! :) I went to the Crysis page and patched the game. And managed to bump the Anti-Aliasing to 16xQ.

When you build the i7, make sure you try to look for the D0 stepping. They're notorious for being easily overclocked to 4ghz and still run cool. You can determine this by the S-Spec number. It should read "S-Spec: SLBEJ". They cost exactly the same as any other stepping.
