In spite of Her Injuries, Jolin Still Wants To Dance Taiwanese Singer Jolin Tsai starts the promotional tour of her latest album, Butterfly, in Singapore today inspite of her injuries. The promotion tour includes a concert and an autograph signing session over three days. While she enjoys performing in front of an audience and will continue to dance, Jolin still longs for a break, to embark on a journey of self-discovery. According to Taiwanese media reports. Jolin has been practicing hard at ballet for her latest album, which caused the return of her old back injury. The injury resulted in an immediate halt to nine of her concerts and a two-month abstinence from dancing. During this trip to Singapore, the attention naturally was on the condition of Jolin's back injury. It was during a campus concert in Taichung when Jolin realized her back was constantly in pain. That was when the severity of her injury hit her. The condition of her injury fluctuates. At its worst, Jolin would experience discomfort and difficulties when standing, sitting lying down and even breathing. Jolin is currently consulting a Chinese traditional Medicine doctor and the current condition of her health is still manageable. Jolin also expressed that her greatest passion is performing on stage, interacting with her fans. Proclaiming herself a hyperactive person, Jolin only has the attention limit of an hour before she needs to get up and move about. That's why she enjoys get-togethers with fans and concert performances. She expresses firmly that she will continue to dance. In her recent Slow Life Ballad concert in Taiwan, Jolin could not resist the urge and performed two dance numbers, Mr Q and Bravo Lover. The lineup for the concert in Singapore tomorrow also consists of dance numbers so expect to catch Jolin grooving to the beats. At the press conference, when asked which country does she want to go for a music video shoot, Jolin broke into a brilliant smile and answered somewhere in the Mediterranean, like Greece. Jolin confessed that during her break last year, she had more time with herself at home. As a result, she realized that she hardly knows herself but the person on stage. She hopes to have a chance to enjoy as someone who is not working. She said, "I've never had the chance to take a long vacation. Even when there's a break, I'm constantly on standby mode. I hope to develop as a person, not constantly working without any time to catch a breath. I don't want to forget what I enjoy the most and what are my mistakes and achievements. Of course, this is a difficult job which requires some adjustments." After the promotional tours in the first half of the year ends, Jolin hopes to spend the rest of the year resting and recharging. As for her future plans, she said, "The economy now is not very good, so I hope to prepare and improve myself, in terms of performing. To assure that the next concert or album will be full of energy. " Being an avid dancer, her plans would naturally include her passion. Jolin hopes to try her hand at modern dance. But this would depend on suitability of her future albums.
