The storyline is still the same about two people who doesn’t seem to get along would wake up one morning with their bodies switched but the writer, as he revised the script changed the setting into a university and switching the young adult characters into teens. The original character of Mike He who is a rich, rude, spoiled and womanizing heir to multimillion businesses is a career man no more, but a college student. The characteristics are maintained and the top choice to fill in the shoes of Mike He is Arron Yan of boy band Fahrenheit. But the major change was done in Rainie Yang’s character. In the original script, she was suppose to be an orphaned from the lower class who juggles four jobs to support herself and her older sister who works as an escort. In the revised plotline, the girl would be a foreign student from a Southeast Asian country who supports herself with odd jobs to be able to study in a notorious university in Taipei which specializes in Engineering. Joining her would be her brother who would be a total burden rather than helping her cope with the Chinese culture. The character was described to be very frail with an innocent face, but once she is in action her mixture of sweetness and feistiness against the obstacles of life is absolutely unique. The language barrier adds to the conflict and the challenge of the story. There are two top choices, the Indonesian superstar Agnes Monica who had been with Jerry Yan in “The Hospital” and relative unknown Philippina actress Maja Salvador. Many people are more familiar with Agnes Monica as she appeared in the drama “White House Love” with Peter Ho and “The Hospital” with Jerry Yan of F4 so it was quite surprising when the producers think that Maja Salvador suits the role more that the Indonesian superstar who already has experience in the Taiwanese industry. Even some netizens agree but the production team said that they think it is better to market in someone new to balance the possible team-up wit the already popular Arron Yan of the sensational pop group Fahrenheit and they had seen the unique screen presence of the Philippina actress in one of her drama anthology shows. But the staff also commented that the roles won’t be offered until the final draft of the script would be polished until down to the last subplot but they are seriously considering these people for the characters. The following personalities mentioned are being seriously considered, though. They estimate that this would begin pre-prodcution by May next year.
