I have a Garmin Nuvi 2555 and had tried to use the lifetime updater. Unfortunately, I ran into a snag with the update telling me that I didn't have enough room on the device. I then went on line and discovered that many other folks seemed to have complaints about the update process. Not only that though, people also seem to give them very poor marks in terms of customer service, which some describe as almost non existent. Just as an informal sampling, but how many other PA users here own a Garmin GPS; what model owned, and what are your experiences with it? Would you purchase another or try another brand?
I own a garmin as well.. Not sure which model it is because its in the car and/or my bro has it.. I brought it back maybe around 4-5 years and I have never updated it and it never gotten me lost here in the tri state areas, PA, Connecticut, Boston... and believe me, I go all over the place =P Yes, i'll purchase another if the current one I own breaks or gets lost or etc. but the price has to be right.. I'm sure any navigation system is fine now... I have even used ones on iphone/android phones and they haven't really gotten me lost either so it pretty much sums it off to the best deal.
