Congratulations! Yesterday was Heavenly Queen Kelly Chen's big day as she married her boyfriend of 16 years, Alex Lau. The bride wore a wedding dress that was classy and elegant, while the groom was dashing and cool. When facing the media, in the beginning, Alex was nervous and kept wiping his forehead and didn't know how to hold Kelly. But after a warm-up, the two kissed five times in front of the media and displayed their happiness. The nearly 200 reporters present could feel their happiness. With three sets of wedding outfits, a 6 carat diamond wedding ring, a pair of sponsored 5 carat diamond ear rings, a pair of dragon-phoenix gold bracelets, 52 tables of guests, Kelly had her fairytale wedding for close to 20 million dollars.

The newlyweds arrived separately at the Intercontinental Hotel in the afternoon. All the traditional events were held on site at the hotel location, including cutting the cake, signing the marriage papers, and pouring tea for the parents and relatives. Kelly's manager, Chung Jan was extremely happy and helped Kelly to take care of the minor things.

Kelly and Alex met with the press at 3 pm. Before that time, the staircase on which Kelly and Alex were arranged to stand for the press to take pictures, was covered with white cloth. The beautiful bride wore a wedding dress designed by 奚仲文 while Alex wore a white tuxedo designed by 亞文興昌. Kelly's wedding dress contained 999 flowers, and a train of nearly 50 feet. During the evening, Kelly changed into a Chanel dress personally designed for her by Karl Lagerfeld, and a red evening gown. Alex and Kelly took wedding pictures on the terrace outside the hotel with the Hong Kong skyline as the backdrop.

Kelly and Alex's families also arrived at the hotel around noon. Kelly's dad remained low profile throughout. It was unknown if it was because a magazine recently exposed Kelly's father's new love relationship that he did not want to ruin his daughter's big day. He quietly accompanied Kelly to the hotel. Meanwhile, Alex's mom also arrived at noon. When the reporters congratulated her, she waved.

Kelly was asked whether Alex made some love promise when he picked her up. Kelly answered that Alex needed to pass 5 obstacles in order to get to her. But because there were children present, the games were relatively tame. Alex had to pretend to do a pole dance and rap some love lyrics to her. The lyrics included that he had to give all his money to her. But because she was in the room, she couldn't really hear what he was saying. Kelly did not request that Alex say "I love you," because he said a lot of times before.

Well, I never like Kelly Chan very much. Back then, most of her songs were Chinese versions of either Korean or English music; not very original. She's also a little stuck-up but I guess after sometimes in the industry, she has changed somewhat .. more nicer. I like the fact that's she's so open about everything which is why she doesn't hit the headlines all the times...lol .. unlike others who always try to stay out of the limelight.
