Being Cool is based on your morals and values
When we first asked Raymond, what do you think “cool” means, he seemed to have a difficult time figuring it out. He thought about it for a minute and said “I think “cool” means facing every situation or thing and having your own point of view.” Point of view is not necessarily close mindedness. While maintain your own morals, you also have to keep in mind other people’s feelings.
As to the “cool” appearance, Raymond used clothes as an example. “You should not change your appearance and wear something that is not suitable for you just because it’s the trend. Your clothes and appearance should match you.
Hong Kong is a place of blindly following trends. We frequently see 180 pound “fat man” wearing slim cut Dior or golden mushroom head “skinny man” wearing a LV bag that he has to pay in installments in Wong Kok and Tung Law Wan...they are evidence of Hong Kong men staining the “cool” environment.
    Job…turns into interest
On a man’s chest, job is always first. But how many people can turn their job into something they like? There is, and that person is Raymond Lam.
“Acting and Singing are both something I have interest in, it gives me bigger motivation to improve my career.” I like to sing but I am not good at writing lyrics. “I will respect the other people’s professionalism. The person that writes the lyrics is definitely better than I am.” “At the same time, I can work harder at my singing, I don’t want to only fulfill other people’s wishes, but also do better than presently.” Selling 30,000 CDs did not just happen, it was a team effort.
    Winter…my favorite season
It is November, and it has not been too chilly yet, Hong Kong might not have winter in the future, “My favorite season is winter, there is more mix and matching for my clothes, plus there are many celebrations, and my birthday is in winter. Every Christmas, I will always want to go Tsim Dong and look at the lights and feel the excited environment.” Raymond going to go see the lights? We believe that with “goon ga jai’s” current status, he will turn into the lights and people will want to take pictures with him crazily.
In this “hot” winter, what does Raymond like to wear? “Turtlenecks are a must for me, I use to wear long coat and medium coat but this year I will wear a lighter trench coat. I think a leather jacket is must for all men. Recently they are promoting a slim cut style that I love.”
With this word, we have chosen Raymond’s leather jacket look as this issues special cover.
