Did I read it right .. Ipad 4 is out? Ipad 3 came out not too long ago .. WTF .. so damn wrong ... so sick of Apple prods now. There's really nothing new; just building on old tech and adding here and there yet cost so much money.
Yes, Apple just announced iPad 4th generation. It has a A6X and a lighting connector. iPad 3rd generation had A5X and old iPod connector.
Is it only available in the UK?? That's what I read .. not sure about NA though. Silly to release the Ipad 3 out less than 6 months ago and now another one. Buyers will be pissed off ... seriously .. so wrong of Apple .. I think a lot of ppl will buy it just cuz of the connector reason .. who wanna carry 2 connectors - one for ipad and one for iphone. Apple should give ppl the option to trade in for a new one if they bought the Ipad 3. Gosh .. that make the Ipad 2's price drop like hell even for trade in option.
It's available in a few countries I believe, starting on Nov. 3 if I remember. Apple just want ALL their device to be on the new adapters/connectors. They wouldn't just change the connector, might as well make a new chip for the iPad 3rd gen and call it 4th gen as an update. Apple don't care, they will get people to buy their products anyways even if people bought iPad 3rd Gen.
I don't like the new CEO. He's not innovative at all. What he's doing right now is pushing the limit on people's pocket, trying to dominate the market, and of course, securing his position at the company by showing the board increased in sales and profits. This plan will backfire .. just a matter of time .. there are only so many times you can update the old products lines. If Apple doesn't come up with something new in the next year or so, it will be difficult for them to remain dominant.
Apple is pure marketing now. They haven't really innovated since the release of the first generation products. e.g. iPhone 2G (1st gen), UI looks the same as in iPhone 5. Only thing changed was specs and playing catch-up with Android. I will give it to Apple that they did change/revolutionize/speed up the smartphone market though.
iPad Mini (same specs as iPad 2 really, no retina display, starting price $325 if I remember correctly. Near Kindle Fire HD price...hopefully I got the product right), iPad 4 is out, like what RTH said A6X chip and lightning adapter. Nothing special but still at a premium price. If I remember correctly I read on some tech website saying that Apple allow the 30 day return policy so you can return the iPad 3 (New iPad) for the iPad 4. Seems wrong for them not to return because like you said it has not been a year and they release another iPad, nothing special besides the new adapter, A6X chip wouldn't make much of a difference for a normal person that doesn't require much power. Also is the retina display Macbook right? ah I don't know. They changed the world of technology but like the others have said, not becoming that innovative because of their "if it's not broke don't fix it" way of thinking.
Really? If you bought an Ipad 3, then you have 30 days to exchange for an Ipad 4 upon it releases. Is that true??? I didn't hear anything like that .. are you sure??? Apple is going after for the increase in sales and profits .. not returns and exchanges. Frankly, at this point, the Apple reputation is somewhat tarnished already with its aggressive update releases of the old products this year alone rather than new stuff.

ipad 4 is not really much of an improvement over ipad 3. i would say that the improvement is not noticeable. released mainly because they wanted to change to the lightning port which will be in line with the rest of their products though if that is the sign of things to come then it certainly is not good for them. Consumers will be angry if there are released every 6 months but I do think apple have reached the stage where they have run out of innovation. Perhaps we will see the reduction in it's share price in the next few years.
