Jailbreaking now does not violate the federal law. Source: NY Times I heard this on the news. So i just googled a random article about it. I did not personally read this article though. What do you think? This probably applies for itouches too probably. & not sure if before if you had warranty did or did not it covered jailbreaks.. but not.. hopefully it does
It is pretty risky to jail break your iphone or itouch. Some of the app stores are full of malware which could extremely harm your computer. However jailbreak would allow you to save money XD
unless you need to unlock there are only a few things that JB does for you. SBS settings and mifi. most apps that i use are fairly cheap or go on sale down to .99 so just buy it then.. or RSS on Appshopper.com when it goes free for a day.
I think its only legal in the US (i live in canada) restoring your iphone/ipod touch wont leave any traces of JB-ing ( i believe).
its still illegal here in uk i think, but then i saw some phone shop down chinatown (typical) advertising jailbreaking in big bold letters, i'm like whaaat? stupid lol but i probably will ask my bf to do it for me after the warranty is over tho....=/
