I HATE THEM SOO MUCH!!! THEY ARE SO FUCKED UP. I HAVE A SHUFFLE AND THAT STOPPED WORKING AFTER A YEAR. AND NOW MY IPOD VIDEO IS FUCKED UP. I REALLY WANT TO THROW IT ON THE FLOOR STOMP ON IT AND SET IT ON FIRE< THEN PUT OUT THE FIRE AND BEAT IT UP UNTIL IM TIRED. I"LL BURY IT AND WHEN IM ANGRY I"LL DIG IT OUT AND BEAT IT AGAIN! AHHHHHHHHHHH its not broken enough to be sent in for repair so i dunno hwat to do. the problem: it takes forever fo it to connect to my computer. i tried many things to fix it bbut in the ned i think its the ipod thats fawked up. fhiodghnifrs;ghio;g i ahte it. maybe i should throw it around so its 100% fucked, then send it in for a new one, then sell it and buy myself a flask mp3. piece of shiet. i know tons of ppl who have trouble too. within a week of use, it fucks up. my sister's was worst, we had to return it within a day. so ugly ugly ugly ugly. gjrkgjreil i ahte it! stupid ipod. its not that good anyways..even if it doesnt break down. mine was a gift, but if i had a choice i would never buy one here are some reasons u should not get oen 1. it just plain suks. it breaks down too easily 2. ipod video-battery life is 2 hours if u watch a video. i watch a video on my ipod if i go out. but if i go out i will prolly stay out longer than 2 hours. so how can i survive without music for the rest of the day. 3. all videos must be converted before it can be put on your ipod 4. scratches easily. 5. clickwheel is simple but its a hassle to turn certain functions on such as "shuffle". u have to take the ipod out, go thru the menu and select shuffle. for my old mp3 i dont even have to look at it, i just click a button a few times 6. on hhe nanos. the usb plug thingy is fuckin huge 7. ear plugs break easily and it turns grey 8. despite its huge size, theres no radio mor voice recorder 9. cant delete songs directly 10. its huge 11. itunes is soo annoying 12. too many ipod accessaries that they try to throw at u please feel free to diss the ipod.
i don't like how people say "iPods" when what they mean is mp3 players now. plus i have an iriver one and these stupid people keep asking whether my mp3 player is a ripoff version of the iPod. uh, no. iriver is a very popular 'brand' of music players from Korea. my sister has an iPod Mini though (for about 2 years).. and its beginning to screw up. she charges it for a long time, but when she turns it on to use it says the battery is low.
I have the second generation of the ipod and never have a problem with it. Its almost been 4 years that i have had it. The only complain i have is that you can't change the battery, once its dead, there goes the ipod and its easily scratched. Once my ipod bites the dust, should be long, as a full charge only lasts about 45 minute to 1 hours, i'll probably get the iRiver.
yo I have an old shuffle too.. that ish still kickin... maybe its because I take care of my things.. -lol jk.. nah I've been meaning to get the mobiblu... it's really necessary to have a radio function in there... I don't care how many thousands of gigs of music you have.. that ish gets tiring to listen to.. damn lookin back on it... $150 when that damn thing came out.. now it's like I jus throw it around... but yea.. the shuffles prolly the only mp3 player I can actually jus drop n not have to worry about it... don't really like the design for the new shuffle tho... it's like freakin apple jus adds a new feature each time or makes a smaller version and bam... next-gen ipod... itunes really sucks.. and yea.. rant more when I get the chance.. but right now.. I have to go Claim my Title.. mwuahahahahahaa IT's HERE!!!

My ipod nano fuked up the other day!! I lost all my songs on it for some god damn reason >.<" Made me so angry!!! Now I cant be bothered to put them back on...*sigh* Stooopid technology!!
Microsoft Zune is claimed to kill the ipod, we'll see how this battle turns out in a lil bit. NOTE: Zune was released a couple days ago
is the iriver flash based?? maybe thas why.. cuz with the ipods if you keep droppin' 'em of course they're not gonna work.. I think you need some kinda indestructible case for you're things.. -lol or you should probably stop throwing it at pple..
mmm i've had my ipod mini for 3 yrs now and its still working fine.. just had to replace the battery tho coz that dided.. freaking apple wanted to charge me an arm and leg to replace it.. like basically the price of a shuffle to replace a tiny little battery.. so luckily i found an aftermarket one for $15 and replaced it myself.. since then it's been all good. can't live without my damn ipod these days...
i have a 2nd gen ipod too and it ran out of batteries a year ago. took it to the i-store to get it fixed. the guy was all snobby and told me maybe i should just get a new ipod since the 2nd gen is old. told him i'll get a new one if he gave me $300. he shut up, charged me 90 dollars for some replacement fee and i got a brand new 2nd gen ipod-->which in my opinion is better than the new ones. can't stand the clicker thing on the new one. (the clicking noise reminds me of the movie "the grudge" when the ghost comes crawling out...ugh...) it seems the more advanced technology becomes the more problems it causes when it doesn't want to work. b4 the ipod i had my discmen that i would drop every hour and it continued on trucking for 4 years!!!
I have a Creative ZEN, and it was a lost cause since day one. At least your actually worked for a bit! This stupid device has the worst set of controls, double tap, tap, drag and tap, really... I just want to hit play and move between albums without having to F@#$ with the device for an hour! The only thing I use it for now, is portable storage between my laptop and desktop. I totally gave up on using it as a actual MP3 player! Darn-It, where's my ol'skool CD player... At least I know how to skip tracks!

yo my battery died too thats y i been using psp as music for like 6months...where u get the batter for 15? i want a new battery but not pay more than 30 cause ill rather get a new nano..i love my mini..has my name and shit..and i paid like 3 bills for it
HaHa Ppl, just because they market the ipod as the greatest player, it doesn't mean that they are the best. IPODS like most other companies make their ipods in factories in Guangdong, China(read that from BBC). Yeah, they like other companies try to "improve" the conditions of workers they have. But yeah, I've I had the Archos 402E for like $200 since this summer. This shyt is sick. It has a video player, 20gb storage, 1.1 mp camera, 1.1 mp digital camcorder, divx player, avi player, wma, mp3, wav player, picture viewer, and you can transfer songs from other players into it through a cable. For example if you have a digital camera and it's outta of space, you can transfer pictures directly from the camera to the player without going through the computer. Also it has a 10 hr. battery life for songs on an hour charge and 4 hrs for videos. They have other newer models, but when I got this I got it for 150. I've seen other models with a fairly wide lcd and higher mp camera for like 200 sumthing. Yeah, this portable multimedia player is just as portable as any player and sure as hell beats the ipod.
i love Ipods used the first gen one for about 2-3 years and recently bought a nano cause its lighter and plus i cracked the screen on my old one... but i didnt have problems with the battery or anything... but like people have said just take care of them and dont drop them and their fine. the new nano is so light ;D compared to my old one.
