i guess it really depends whether u are working there or having a holiday there. for mt a cup of coffee over there is equivalent to a lunch set here in malaysia ><

When you say Japan is more expensive than say somewhere else in Asia, are you referring to shopping in general? I mean I know they have periods of discounts, but my friend recently returned from a trip to the land of the rising sun, and she said, with eating and accomodation, its very much like living in Australia.

 

depends which part of japan. tokyo was the most expensive city in the world to live in for a couple of years. compared to taiway, it's definitely more expensive.

 

Agreed, I'm not surprised if Tokyo's much more expensive than Taiwan. Even by looking at the Japanese economy in Asia, it is stronger than the majority of them.
